Fragrance Family: Oriental Floral
In 2016, Marly Perfumes added Layton to its Essence Royal collection. This sensual fragrance blends the effortless elegance of the 18th-century Palace of Versailles with its harmonious, festive atmosphere.
The new men's fragrance, Layton, is named after the Layton horse, one of the most important and largest purebred racehorse lineages.
Layton was created by perfumer Hamed Kashani Mirati.
It blends floral, woody, and spicy notes within a modern fougère framework, offering a luxurious experience for those seeking sophistication.
The top notes feature the uplifting scents of mandarin and apple, along with bergamot and a prominent lavender accord. This lavender combines with the heart notes, particularly geranium, to create a fougère note, resting on a woody base. The heart also contains soft, sensual florals: jasmine and violet.
The base is woody and spicy, giving the fragrance stability and depth. It includes guaiac wood, sandalwood, patchouli, spicy black pepper, and smooth vanilla.
